About
My name is Charlotte Plotzke, and I am a communications professional residing in Denver, Colorado. Thank you for visiting my portfolio!
I was born and raised in Michigan. With both my parents being teachers, humility, selflessness, and drive has been instilled in me from the moment I was born. My mom, a choir teacher, filled our house with music, which sparked my passion for singing and playing piano. Being an avid musician taught me the most valuable lesson: with practice, anything is possible. Throughout high school and college, I taught K-8 students piano, guitar, and ukulele (a.k.a. the most fun and rewarding side hustle a 14-20 year old could ever have).
I graduated with a Bachelor of Art's in Communication with an additional major in Music from Michigan State University in 2024. Throughout my college career, my professional experiences included a social media marketing internship with the Detroit Phoenix Center, a communications coordinator internship with Hearing In Color, a deputy communications fellowship for Nasser Beydoun's U.S. Senate campaign, and a Courage Fellowship with Giffords. I volunteered my time with March For Our Lives as a student organizer and served as an executive board copywriter and editor at MSU's Her Campus chapter. I also participated in MSU choirs and MSU opera theatre. Check out my CV for more on my background!
Currently, I'm serving as a communications professional at the CU Anschutz Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome, with responsibilities including social media management, email marketing, event planning, internal communications, and clinical recruitment.
In addition to being a music nerd and communications professional, I am a yoga student, gun violence prevention advocate, dog mom, concert-goer, and outdoor adventurer.
